Agartala, Apr 12 (FD) The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) marked its 46th Foundation Day with a series of vibrant week-long programs across all constituencies, including Ramnagar. The events, organized by the state BJP, concluded recently with several impactful initiatives, aimed at strengthening grassroots connectivity.
In Ramnagar constituency, various events were held under the leadership of local BJP leaders. On the eve of the final day, senior citizens of the constituency were felicitated by Ramnagar MLA and Agartala Mayor, Deepak Majumder.
On Saturday, the Gaon Chalo Abhiyan was organized in the Rajnagar area, Ward No. 36, under the Ramnagar Mandal. A short discussion preceded the campaign, where Mayor and MLA Deepak Majumder addressed party workers, along with Mandal President Amitabh Bhattacharya and Corporator Nitu Guha Dey.
As part of the outreach, the leaders visited households and interacted with beneficiaries of central and state schemes. Notably, a long-pending demand of the locals was fulfilled with the construction of a 430-meter road near the Rajnagar Mosque, which had remained in poor condition for over 40 years. Built at a cost of ₹40 lakh, the road was inaugurated by Mayor Majumder during the event.
The day’s programs concluded with a Chaupal meeting and a community lunch attended by state and district leaders, grassroots workers, and respected locals. The Ramnagar Mandal extended heartfelt congratulations to all who contributed to the success of the celebration. FD SB JK
