Agartala, Dec 21 (FD) Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will rule the state for more 40 to 50 years as the party works with the mantra of ‘Seva e Sangathan’ (Service is organization) and under the guardianship of the able leadership, Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha said on Wednesday.
Addressing a Public Rally at Nalua of Hrishyamukh Block under South Tripura district, Dr Saha said, “The BJP party which is ruling the country and the state under the leadership of Narendra Modi will remain in power in the state for next 40 to 50 years as the party believes in ‘Seva e Sangathan’ and works under guardianship of the Prime Minister.”
He said the party has several capable leaders like Narendra Modi and Amit Saha. The party will continue to produce such leaders in the future as well as the party is led by able leadership.
Dr Saha said BJP has a total of 17 crore active activists in the country while the party has about 6.5 lakh to 6.75 active activists.
Speaking on the occasion Dr Saha recalled and paid tribute to the 14 local activists who lost their lives in political violence in the past and came down heavily on opposition CPIM, allegedly for spreading violence in the state.
Calling the CPIM rule a period of ‘murder and terror’, Dr Saha said there was no democracy in the state and it was a game for them to kill anyone to meet their needs.
The Communist Party was trying to stay in power by resorting to brutal torture, he added.
Dr Saha raised a question for the communist party leaders over their allegation of death of democracy in the state under BJP rule, and said, the Communist party during which rule about 69 people died in political violence in the South Tripura district, of which 14 were from Hrishyamukh area only.
The chief minister said, “Our party under the leadership of Modi does not believe in terror. People want to live with peace and prosperity, our government also believes in that philosophy”.
He also criticized CPIM, Congress and Trinamool Congress (TMC) alleging their ‘under the table pre-poll alliance’ in the state.
He claimed that the three states which included Tripura, West Bengal and Kerala where the communist party had ruled and TMC which is now ruling in West Bengal, have witnessed more political terror compared to other states of the country.
Later in the afternoon, the Chief Minister inaugurated a newly constructed building of Lakshiram Hati primary rural market at Chakmaghat under Krishnapur assembly constituency in Khowai district and distributed agricultural products among beneficiaries. He also addressed a public rally there. FD PD JK
