Agartala, Apr 17 (FD) Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha on Thursday responded to the outcome of the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) elections with a message of humility and resolve, acknowledging the people’s mandate while reaffirming his party’s commitment to development and unity.
In a statement shared on his official Facebook page, Saha expressed gratitude to Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) karyakartas for their dedication and hard work during the polls. He lauded party workers for taking the party’s message to the grassroots, describing their efforts as commendable.
The Chief Minister also congratulated the winning candidates and extended his best wishes to the Tipra Motha Party for its electoral success, underlining respect for the democratic verdict.
“We accept the people’s mandate with humility. We see this as an opportunity to learn and come back stronger,” Saha said, indicating that the party would undertake introspection following the results.
Despite the setback in the ADC elections, he asserted that the BJP-led government’s focus on development, unity and public welfare would remain steadfast. He added that the party would continue to work with renewed determination in the days ahead.
Saha’s response is being viewed as a measured and forward-looking stance, signalling the BJP’s intent to regroup and strengthen its organisational base in the aftermath of the polls. FD JK
