Agartala, Apr 25 (FD) Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Saturday chaired a review meeting with BJP candidates who contested the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) elections, assessing the results and the overall situation following the polls.
The meeting, held at the party office, was attended by BJP state president and MP Rajib Bhattacharya, Minister Santana Chakma, senior party leaders, and cluster in-charges.
Speaking to reporters after the meeting, Saha said the interaction aimed at gathering detailed feedback from candidates on the election process as well as the post-election scenario. “We have formed clusters, and their in-charges are present here. We are taking reports from candidates and reviewing the situation in detail,” he said.
He added that the review covered all phases of the election — pre-poll preparations, polling day management, and post-poll developments — including challenges faced and any shortcomings identified during the process.
The Chief Minister noted that the overall law and order situation in the state has improved, with police personnel deployed across sensitive areas and maintaining round-the-clock vigil.
The TTAADC elections were held on April 12, and results declared on April 17 saw the Tipra Motha Party securing 24 of the 28 seats, while the Bharatiya Janata Party won four seats. FD JK
