BJP party chief JP Nadda arrives here to review party’s preparedness for next assembly elections

Agartala, Aug 28 (FD): National President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) J P Nadda, who arrived here today was given a rousing reception at the MBB airport.
He arrived on a two-day visit to Tripura to take stock of the organizational preparedness for the next years crucial assembly elections, slated for March next year.
He was received at the MBB airport here by the Chief Minister Manik Saha, president of the state unit Rajib Bhattacharya and former chief minister Biplab Kumar Deb and thousands of party activists.
Nadda listened to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Man ki Baat’ programe at the airport and after that left for the state guest house.
Party sources said, he held series of meetings with the members of the party’s core committee, state leaders and party MLAs.
He also met the leaders of the tribal wing of the party, Janajati Morcha and the leaders of the Indigenous People’s front of Tripura (IPFT), an electoral ally of BJP in Tripura.
Nadda would address a public gathering at the headquarters of Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) at Khumulwung, about 20 km from here tomorrow.
The party expected that at least 25,000 people would turn up in tomorrow’s meeting, where the IPFT leaders and party’s Janajati leaders would remain present.
