Agartala Sept 24 (FD) The Bharatiya Janata Party organized a ‘Chintan Baithak’ (brainstorming meeting) at the Hapaniya International Fair Ground premises on Saturday with a view to form the government once again by winning all 60 seats in the next state assembly elections slated to be held in March next year.
The party’s National General Secretary, B L Santosh, Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha, Tripura BJP NE Co-ordinator Sambit Patra, BJP State president Rajib Bhattarjee, state BJP in-charge Mahesh Sharma along with all the ministers and party office bearers attended the meeting.
The leaders held discussion on the current political scenario of the state, status of opposition political parties and strategies were framed on the activities of the organization in the coming days ahead of the Village Committee elections and 2023 assembly polls.
Later, addressing a press conference the party spokesperson Subrata Chakraborty said, “The ‘Chintan Baithak’ focused on forming BJP government once again after contesting and winning all 60 seats alone in the upcoming assembly elections in the state.”
In this context he said, the party leaders stressed on strengthening the organization more in all 3324 booths of the state. Chakraborty said the BJP party base is strong enough in the hills and plains as well.
Answering a question he said, “We are not thinking about any new partner, nor we have plan to leave our present partner.”
The party spokesperson said, the BJP has strong support base in the state and the party leaders today stressed on strengthening it more.
In responding on resignation of Karbook BJP MLA Burba Mohan Tripura on Friday, Chakraborty said, “The party does not bother if any MLA leaves the party and will not stop anyone who wants to leave the party.” FD PD JK
