Agartala, Mar 27 (FD) Former Chief Minister, Biplab Kumar Deb today filed nominations for the West Tripura parliamentary constituency, which goes to poll on April 19.
Deb, also a Rajyasabha M.P, submitted his nomination as BJP candidate following an impressive rally in front of Rabindara Shatavarshiki Bhawan and a procession filled with stars.
Tripura chief minister Dr Manik Saha, quite a lot of BJP MLAs and leaders and former Haryana chief minister Manoharlal Khattar, incumbent Haryana chief minister Nayab Singh Saini, BJP state president Rajeev Bhattacharjee and Pradyot Kishore Debbarma, the Chief of Tipra Motha, an ally of BJP were present during filing of his nomination.
Addressing the huge gathering in front of Rabindra Shata Varshiki Bhawan, chief minister Dr Manik Saha said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has established ‘Ram rajatya’ in the country and BJP would win in more than 370 seats.
“In the upcoming Loksabha elections, for the sake of development of the nation-tribes, for the third time, press the button on the lotus symbol to form the government under the leadership of Hon'ble Shri Narendra Modiji and make him win by huge votes”, he also said in a social media post.
Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar and incumbent chief minister Nayab Singh Saini said that India is getting its rebirth from its past humiliation and suppression by foreign invaders and colonial powers under the leadership of Modiji and NDA will set a new record of seats.
Pradyot said, “It is good that my friend Biplab Kumar Deb is the candidate in West Tripura and my sister is the candidate in East Tripura; I am sure they will win by record margins and raise the issue of Tripura in Loksabha” .
After the speeches, Deb submitted his nomination to the Returning officer of the West Tripura parliamentary constituency, Bishal Kumar. FD JK
