Agartala, Sep 01 (FD) Former Deputy Chief Minister of Tripura, Jishnu Dev Varma, expressed optimism about the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) prospects in the upcoming by-elections, stating that victory is "just a matter of time." The by-elections for both seats are scheduled for September 5th.
Dev Varma emphasized the BJP's strong response in the poll-bound assembly constituencies of Boxanagar and Dhanpur. He noted the enthusiastic turnout at party events and rallies, indicating growing support for the BJP among the electorate.
In a subtle dig at the Communist Party of India (Marxist) or CPIM, Dev Varma labeled them as the 'Complain Party of India.' He criticized the CPIM for being more focused on making complaints rather than working for the people.
As the by-elections draw near, the BJP appears confident in its chances, buoyed by what they perceive as a positive response from the voters in these constituencies. The political landscape in Tripura is poised for an interesting contest come September 5TH. FD SB
