Biplab Deb meets Tripura CM, opposition leader, all legislators before leaving the assembly

Agartala, Sep 26 (FD) Former Tripura Chief Minister, Biplab Kumar Deb who has recently been elected as a member of parliament (MP) from the lone Rajyasabha seat had his last day in Tripura assembly on Monday and met Chief Minister Manik Saha and leader of the opposition Manik Sarkar.
Deb was elected as MP on September 22 last and is likely to join the parliamentary sessions soon.
He also met the lone Congress MLA Sudip Roy Burman and expressed his gratitude to every legislators for their cooperation during his stint as Chief Minister from March 2018 to May 2022
Deb assured all members of the house that he would raise issues related to the state’s interests in the Rajya Sabha.
In a social media post he wrote, “Today, attending the twelfth session of the twelfth Legislative Assembly, I express my gratitude to all the honorable members and members of the Holy Assembly. As I have received everyone's support since 2018 due to working as the leader of the House, I have full faith that the valuable suggestions of the honorable members and members of the House as MPs of the Rajya Sabha will continue for the development of the state.”
All members of the House including Sudip Roy Barman wished Biplab Deb for his future journey as an MP from the state to the Rajya Sabha.
Biplab Kumar Deb elected in the lone Rajya Sabha seat on Thursday last with 43 votes, against Left Front candidate Bhanulal Saha, who secured 15 votes. FD PD JK
