Aus Open: World no 1 Italian star Sinner holds Rune for quarterfinal berth

In the Australian Open Tennis tournament, World No. 1 Italian star Jannik Sinner advanced to the Quarterfinals of the Men’s Singles after defeating Danish player Holger Rune in a thrilling four-set encounter at the Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne.
Sinner faced physical struggles in the second set and required a medical time-out but rallied to win the third and fourth sets, securing a 6-3, 3-6, 6-3, 6-2 victory. Meanwhile, fellow Italian Lorenzo Sonego defeated American qualifier Learner Tien in four sets to reach his first Grand Slam Quarterfinals.
In the Women’s Singles event, ace American player Madison Keys pulled off a stunning upset against sixth seed Elena Rybakina of Kazakhstan in her fourth-round fixture, winning 6-3, 1-6, 6-3 at the Margaret Court Arena. Additionally, Ukraine’s Elina Svitolina defeated Russia’s Veronika Kudermetova to secure her spot in the Quarterfinals.
