ATTF and NLFT to sign an agreement in Delhi tomorrow

Agartala, Sept 3 (FD) Two dreaded insurgent groups of Tripura – National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT) and All Tripura Tiger Force (ATTF) will put pen in an agreement with Tripura and the Central Government in Delhi on Wednesday, official sources said.
Tripura Chief Minister, Dr Manik Saha and the union home minister Amit Shah will remain present during signing of the tri-partite agreement, officials said.
Meanwhile, a press statement issued by the MHA said, “The MHA has been working tirelessly to fulfil Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of developed Nort-heast, free from extremism, violence and conflict”.
Under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, the government has signed 12 important agreements to bring peace and prosperity in the Northeast region, of which three relate to Tripura. Due to signing of several agreements by the Modi government, around 10,000 people have given up arms and joined mainstream, the statement said.
Chief Minister has already announced that he would leave for Delhi and would not join the first day of the autumn session of the Tripura assembly beginning tomorrow.
The ATTF and NLFT are the banned outfits, which is continuing insurgent activities for the last three decades. FD JK
