Assam Rifles and Tripura police recover ganja and destroy saplings in Sepahijala

Agartala, Jan 30 (FD) A joint team of Assam Rifles and Tripura police on Wednesday conducted raids at Batadhola, a border village in Sipahijala district and recovered dried ganjas and spoilt many saplings.
Acting on a tip-off, they formed the joint team and raided the village from where they recovered ganja worth Rs. 5.35 crores and destroyed 15,000 saplings of the ganja.
Police said they conduct raids frequently and also seized many marijuana and destroyed many saplings, but yet to contain the menace as the ganja productions bring good money for them. FD JK
