Assam Rifles and the customs department seized Phensedyl worth Rs. 99 lacs

Agartala, March 12 (FD) The Assam Rifles and the Customs department in a successful joint raid at Kalacherra near here seized 5,500 bottles of banned Phensedyl cough syrup yesterday, which costs about 99 lacs.

Assam Rifles in a press statement stated that they acted on a tip-off and raided a place in jungle and managed to seize the contraband. They had handed over the seized items to the customs department.  FD JK
