Assam Celebrates Diwali & Kali Puja with Devotion; Special Trains Arranged for Festive Rush

In Assam, Diwali and Kali Puja are being celebrated across the state with religious fervour. People have decorated their residences, offices, and business establishments with flowers and lights. At many places, including Guwahati, Kali Puja is also being celebrated today. Various puja committees set up theme-based Kali Puja pandals.

Several district administrations have declared local holidays tomorrow. The Governor and Chief Minister greeted people on this occasion. Meanwhile, North East Frontier Railway is running 52 special trains to cater to the rush of passengers during Deepavali and Chhath puja.
