Arrival off Shah and Nadda day before the swearing-in assume significance

Agartala, Mar 7(FD): Arrival of the two top leaders Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP National President J P Nadda a day before the swearing-in ceremony of the newly elected BJP Government assumes significance.
They arrived in Tripura to discuss about distribution of portfolios of the new Government led by Prof. Dr. Manik Saha.
Police said Shah and Nadda arrived in the state in the afternoon and checked in the state guest house.
“Both the leaders have arrived in the state and held meetings with senior party leaders including the officiating chief minister Manik Saha after their arrival”, party sources said.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and several Union Ministers and Chief Ministers of BJP ruled states would attend the oath taking ceremony of the second BJP government in Tripura on Wednesday, he said.
Dr. Saha was unanimously elected as the leader of the BJP legislature party on Monday and will take oath as the new Chief Minister of Tripura at the Vivekananda Ground here in presence of the Prime Minister and Union Home Minister on Wednesday.
The BJP had won 32 seats in the 60-member Tripura Assembly held on February 16 last while its ally IPFT had secured only one seat.
Party sources said, arrival of the two top leaders ahead of the swearing –in ceremony assumes significance as the party was facing an impasse over the allocation of ministerial portfolios.
When the Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha has already been appointed as the leader of the legislature party, but the party was facing a rough weather in filling up the remaining 11 cabinet berths.
Sources said there were many aspirants from the MLAs for ministerial posts and the presence of Nadda and Shah would help pacifying the situation. FD JK
