Another drive to free encroachment and clogging of roads in the capital city

Agartala, Nov 24 (FD) The Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) has taken an onerous task of removing traffic congestion in the capital city.

The city is clogged due to illegal encroachment; unauthorized parking and city dwellers are witnessing unprecedented jams.

Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha had asked the AMC authorities to swung into action to clear the jams and the Corporation, headed by Mayor Dipak Majumdar has announced a plan after meeting with the officials including S.P, Traffic and Commissioner of AMC.

It was decided that a special evacuation drive would be launched in the city from Monday.

Mayor Dipak Majumdar said that those operating businesses without a proper vendor license in the city would be vacated within the next two days. Stricter actions would be initiated against the encroachers and who park their vehicles in no parking zones. FD JK
