Amit Shah, Jyotiraditya Scindia to attend NEC Plenary in Tripura on Dec 20-21

Agartala, Dec 5 (FD) Union Minister for Home Affairs Amit Shah and DoNER Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia would pay three days visit to Tripura to attend two-day plenary sessions of the North Eastern Council to be held here on December 20 and December 21, official sources said here today.

“This plenary session was likely to be held on August 31 and September 1, but it was postponed due to unprecedented flood that engulfed the entire state. It has been rescheduled for December 20 and Dec 21. Union Minister for home affairs, Amit Shah and DoNER Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia will attend the session”, a senior official of the Planning dept. said.

Shah is expected to arrive on the evening of Dec 19 and would hold meetings with the party leaders and join the NEC meetings.

The official said that all the Chief Ministers and the Chief Ministers of the North Eastern region would be invited to join the meetings.

Preparations are on to make the session a successful one, the official added. FD JK
