Agartala Press Club Organizes T10 Cricket Tournament for Journalists

Agartala, Feb 20 (FD) Agartala Press Club, under its Sports Committee, organized a T10 cricket tournament for journalists on Thursday at Bholagiri Stadium. Four teams competed in the one-day event, with Group C emerging as the champion after defeating Group D in the final match.

The tournament began at 9:30 AM with an opening ceremony attended by Press Club President Jayanta Bhattacharya, Sports Sub-Committee Chairman Alok Ghosh and Former Secretary of Tripura Cricket Association and former Ranji player Sourav Das Gupta as a chief guest. Teams were formed and finalized in a prior meeting of the Sports Sub-Committee.

The event featured two semifinal matches—Team A vs. Team C and Team B vs. Team D—leading up to the thrilling final. Awards were given for Best Batsman, Best Bowler, Best Fielder, Player of the Match, and Player of the Tournament. Winners and runners-up received trophies in a special prize distribution ceremony.
