Adequate security forces at Swami Vivekananda stadium to control crowd

Agartala, Dec 14 (FD) Security was beefed up in the capital city in view of the musical concert of the melody queen of the country, Shreya Ghoashal, to be held at the Swami Vivekananda stadium here today. 

The melody queen has come here to promote the state government’s Tripura Tourism promo that began from Dec 3 last to boost presence of tourists and highlighting the culture and heritage of Tripura.

As many as 40,000 participants can be accommodated in the stadium and adequate police, Tripura State Rifles (TSR) and central security forces were deployed to avoid any kinds of untoward incident.

West Tripura district police chief, Kiran Kumar said, “When adequate police forces were deployed, we would use drones also to control the crowd”.
The total number of security forces include 700 TSR personnel, 50 CRPF and adequate numbers of Tripura police, he added. FD JK
