Agartala, July 27 (FD) In a new achievement for Tripura, the ‘Aamar Sarkar’ web portal, launched by Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha, has been recognized as one of the five Best Practices at the Chief Ministers' Conclave. This event, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, took place on Saturday, July 27th, in New Delhi, with over 20 Chief Ministers and Deputy Chief Ministers of BJP-ruled states in attendance.
The ‘Aamar Sarkar’ initiative, launched in November 2022, was praised for its innovative approach to promoting good governance and redressing public grievances through an online platform dedicated exclusively to rural communities. Prime Minister Modi and other dignitaries commended the initiative, which is now likely to be replicated in other states.
The portal allows citizens to lodge complaints online or via a mobile application, upload geo-referenced photographs, and track the status of their complaints. These are directed to field officers across 81 line departments in the state and are expected to be resolved within four days. If unresolved, complaints are escalated to senior officers. The process ensures that completed tasks are verified and certified by the Head of the Department before closure.
To facilitate issue identification, weekly “Village Walks” are conducted every Thursday, and ‘Aamar Sarkar Day’ is observed every Monday in each of the 1,176 Gram Panchayats and village committees.
According to the Rural Development (Panchayat) Department, the initiative has seen remarkable success. Over the past 21 months, 52,992 issues have been raised by rural residents, with a resolution rate of 95%. FD SB
