Agartala, July 29 (FD) A three-day media workshop jointly organized by the Government of Tripura's Department of Information and Culture and the Agartala Press Club concluded today with resounding success. The workshop, inaugurated on July 26 by Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, witnessed an overwhelming response from the state's journalists and photojournalists, who displayed remarkable enthusiasm throughout the event.

harya graced the opening ceremony with their presence. The workshop brought together a total of 350 journalists and photojournalists from various districts of the state, including Agartala.
The event featured separate sessions tailored for professionals in print media, electronic media, and web media. To impart comprehensive training, eight experienced trainers hailing from Kolkata and Guwahati were enlisted.
The esteemed trainers included Jayant Roy Chowdhury, the Regional Editor of Press Trust of India; Sudipta Sengupta, a former journalist of Anand Bazar Patrika; Sankh Kar, a former photo editor of Golf News; Shyamal Chandra Dutta, a former signal cameraman of Kolkata TV; Doordarshan Deputy Director General Snehasish Sutra; A.B. P News Editor Manogya Loyal; East Mojo Editor Karma Paljor; and Assam Tribune Digital Desk Chief Shouvik Roy Chowdhury.
At the conclusion of the workshop, Bimbisa Bhattacharya, Director of the Information Department, and Debashish Nath, Deputy Director, presented certificates to all the participating journalists and photojournalists, recognising their active engagement and commitment.
Ramakant Dey, Secretary of the Agartala Press Club, extended his heartfelt gratitude to the trainers, participating journalists, photojournalists, and information department staff for contributing to the workshop's resounding success.
The workshop not only provided valuable insights and knowledge but also fostered camaraderie among media professionals, paving the way for a more vibrant and informed media landscape in Tripura. FD SB
