A son kills her 65-year old mother, stayed with the body for two days

Agartala, Nov 7 (FD) In a bizarre incident, a 65-year-old lady was brutally killed by her son and stayed with the dead body for two days at Radhapur village in North Tripura district.

The incident, reportedly occurred on Saturday, when one Raju Debnath (30) following an altercation brutally assaulted his 65-year old mother, who succumbed to injuries.

The incident, reportedly happened on Saturday, but the incident came to light on Monday, when a meter reader of the state electricity department when entered the house smelt foul scent and saw blood stains.

“When he raised alarm, villagers rushed in and informed police. Subsequently, a team of police under the leadership of OC Dharmanagar police station Narugopal Dey rushed to the spot and found the body of the 65-year old Shanti Devi was lying in pool of bloods”, police said.

SDPO Debasish Saha and the forensic team reached the crime scene for scientific investigations. After the postmortem, the mortal remains were handed over to the lady’s husband, Jitendra Debnath, who is engaged in a job at Agartala. FD JK
