A man arrested on charges of molesting a girl

Agartala, April 17 (FD) A tribal girl was molested by a person in an Auto Rickshaw here yesterday; who was arrested by the well planned and coordinated efforts by police today.

S.P of West Tripura district, Kiran Rao said after they received the information of molestation formed a team with the SDPO of Agartala and OC of the women’s police station here. They examined video footages from C.C cameras and also the mobile camera coverage and managed to arrest the person.

S.P said the person is a 39-year old daily wager from Gomati district and lives in different parts of the capital city.

The Chief of the Tipra Motha party, Pradyot Kishore Debbarma also protested the incident.

Police said, a non bailable warrant was issued against the person and was sent to the court. FD JK
