A 45-year old labor dies when a big tree falls on him

Agartala, Aug 13 (FD) In a tragic incident, a 45-year old labor died on the spot when a big tree fell on him at North Veluarchar area under Kalamchaura police station in Sonamura subdivision on Saturday, about 50 km from here.

The deceased Babul Mia was a resident of Gazaria area under Bishalgarh police station and a day labourer by profession.

Police said, he went to North Veluarchar for felling trees with others and died on the spot when the tree fell on him during cutting.

Local people, who were present nearby rushed him to Boxanagar primary health centre but the attending doctor pronounced him ‘brought dead’.

His body was handed over to his family members after post-mortem in Bishalgarh hospital, officials said. FD PD JK
