2nd edition of Khelo India Para Games begins in national capital

Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Dr Mansukh Mandaviya officially inaugurated the 2nd edition of the Khelo India Para Games at Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium, New Delhi, today. Speaking on the occasion, Dr Mandaviya emphasized the importance of the Khelo India initiative in promoting the growth and development of sports across the country.
The Sports Minister stated that under the Khelo India programme, the sports ecosystem in India is evolving rapidly and leading to significant improvements in athletes’ performance. He highlighted that in the last Paralympics held in Paris, Indian athletes delivered an exceptional performance by securing 29 medals. He also extended his best wishes to the para-athletes participating in the Khelo India Para Games 2025.
The Khelo India Para Games is a key part of the Khelo India mission, providing a platform for talented athletes to showcase their skills and compete at a high level.
The event will take place in Delhi from today until the 27th of this month. More than 1,300 para-athletes will compete in six disciplines including para archery, para-athletics, para-badminton, para powerlifting, para shooting, and para table tennis.
