28 lakh 13 thousand 471 voters are eligible for vote in 2023 elections

Agartala, Jan 6 (FD) All together 28 lakh 13 thousand 471 (28, 13471) voters are eligible to exercise their franchise in the sixty-member assembly elections in Tripura scheduled to be held in February, Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), Dinakar Rao Kiran Gitte said today.

The final voter’s list was published last night.

Addressing a press conference here today Gitte said, 13,500 voters from the displaced Brus were included in the voter’s list.

The names of displaced Brus of Mizoram were included in the voter’s list after they were permanently resettled in Tripura following a quadruple agreement signed between the Bru representative and the central and the state governments last year.

Gitte said, of the total voters, the number of male voters are 14, 14876, female voters are 13, 98518 and the third gender are 77.

As per the Final Roll-2023, the number of Service Elector is 10.341.

There are 3.328 Polling Stations in the State located at 2,504 locations.

Enrollment of 65,044 electors has been done in the Final Electoral Roll-2023 in the age group of 18-19 in which 34,704 is Male 30,328 is Female and 12 are transgender. FD SB JK
