200 years old temple lifted from ground and being refurbished

Agartala, Dec 26 (FD) Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha today inspected the facelifts of the Sundari Kali temple at Kasaripatti here along with the Mayor of the Agartala Municipal Council (AMC).
The local leader and the Corporator of the AMC Ratna Datta and other leaders also visited the site of the Kali temple, which was 200 year old. The Chief Minister then moved to Mahanmbrata Angan in the same place and distributed warm clothes to people.
The old temple built by a Manikya king sank down, but due to the Chief Minister’s directive the AMC had taken the initiative to restore and renovate the temple. The skilled workers from outside the state were brought in and the tenton temple was lifted by the help of the jack as part of the renovation efforts.
“We have lifted the temple and now some other works like refurbishing is on”, the Mayor said. FD JK
