Around 10 thousand special guests have been invited to witness the 76th Republic Day Parade at Kartavya Path in New Delhi on 26th January, as part of the government’s effort to enhance public participation in national events. Among the special invitees are Accident Prevention and Disaster Assistance – AAPDA Mitra volunteers, Accredited Social Health Activists – ASHA workers, Farmers’ Producer Organisations – FPOs, PM Kisan Samman Nidhi beneficiaries, My Bharat Volunteers, and others.
The inclusion of these volunteers and beneficiaries reflects the government’s effort to acknowledge and honour the contributions of individuals dedicated to public service and safety. Talking exclusively to Akashvani News, Pankaj Dass, an AAPDA Mitra volunteer from Delhi’s Pandav Nagar, said that it is a dream-come-true moment for him.
Meanwhile, Neelam, an ASHA worker from North District, thanked the government for giving the workers much-needed recognition for their contributions.
These workers and volunteers play a crucial role in helping society, from disaster response to public health. By bringing them into the spotlight, their contributions are being appreciated and awareness is being raised.
